Cannabis Club Law is a specialist practice focused on the legal framework that governs cannabis social clubs and private associations in Catalonia. What We Do
We provide legal analysis, structural advice and representation to cannabis associations operating under Organic Law 1/2002 on the right of association, within the constraints set by Organic Law 4/2015 on citizen security and the national criminal framework. Our work covers the full life of an association, from the drafting of statutes through day to day compliance, inspections, sanctions and, where necessary, judicial defence.
We do not represent commercial cannabis businesses, we do not act for street operators, and we do not take instructions from anyone acting outside the associative model. Our practice is limited to properly constituted non profit associations and the individuals lawfully connected to them.
Why This Practice Area Requires a Specialist
Cannabis association law sits at the intersection of constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law and municipal regulation. General practitioners can and do get it wrong. Court rulings from the Tribunal Constitucional and the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Catalunya have repeatedly reshaped the ground rules, most notably with the annulment of Catalonia's Law 13/2017 through STC 100/2018. Municipal ordinances add another layer, and enforcement patterns vary from one district to another.
