Who We Are

Cannabis Club Law is an independent legal practice based in Barcelona, focused on the law that governs cannabis social clubs and private associations in Catalonia. The practice was founded by lawyers who had already spent years advising associations in the sector, in a period when the legal ground kept moving and generalist firms were struggling to keep up.

We built the practice around a simple idea. This area of law is too specific, too active and too consequential for occasional attention. It deserves a dedicated team, and clients deserve counsel who understand not just the statutes but the way associations actually function on the ground.

What We Believe

The associative model in Catalonia has real legal value. It emerged from decades of jurisprudence, constitutional protection of the right of association, and a genuine social movement. It also has real limits, and those limits have to be respected if the model is to survive.

We believe good legal work in this sector means telling clients the truth about both. We do not romanticise the model and we do not dismiss it. We help clients understand where they stand and how to stay there.

We also believe in a serious professional standard. Confidentiality is absolute. Communications are careful. Advice is written when it needs to be written and spoken when it needs to be spoken, without unnecessary paper trails and without unnecessary opacity.

How We Work

Every matter starts with a conversation. We want to understand what the client actually needs before we start advising on what the law says. Some matters are single questions with clear answers. Others are structural questions that require weeks of work. We are open about which is which from the first meeting.

We work in Spanish, Catalan, English and French. A meaningful part of our client base is international, and we make sure clients from outside Spain get the same quality of analysis in a language they can work with.

Independence

Cannabis Club Law is not affiliated with any cannabis association, cultivation operation, dispensary, consultancy or commercial cannabis brand. We do not take referral fees, we do not receive commissions, and we do not sit on the boards of the associations we advise. This independence is not a marketing point. It is a condition of doing this work properly.
